Hello everyone my name is Paula Deboskie, I am the owner and President of LaDeboNa Salon and Day Spa, I have owned the business for over 20 years. I have a wonderful staff in my business we are a great team! Currently we have about 12 people working in the day spa and the business is growing. I am excited that we are in a standalone building that we move into 8 years ago. I am continuously working on the marketing concepts, web designs, and innovative tools to help our business maintain its success. Prior to the salon ownership in 1987 my family owned Mama’s restaurant and catering here in Midland for over 3 years. 

I am a native Texan have lived in Texas most of my life. I have two daughters LaShaunna (39) and Natalie (21) and two beautiful grandchildren.  I live with my mom and am so blessed to have her in my life she has truly been my inspiration for wanting to be in the hair industry from age 9. I would go to work with her at the salon and watch the people cut and style hair, I was amazed by all the smiles on people’s faces when they left. Additionally the excitement of watching the creativity and the artistry that I witnessed encouraged me to make this my career and live my dream! I am a published artist in Passion Magazine in 2010 and 2012 and I have worked on the TV set of West Texas Investors Club (Reality Show filmed in Midland in 2017)

I am an instructor of cosmetology, I love teaching and we offer training in the salon. I have served on the advisory board of the cosmetology department at Midland College. I have been a workshop presenter for Midland College over the years in Business Survival skills, and in 2012 I was a professor at Midland College and taught a Business Communications class, which was very enjoyable. I received my formal education from the University of Phoenix; I began continuing my education in April of 2003. I believed that if I studied for my degree, it would enable my business become more successful, and provide me with more knowledge to achieve my goals. I finished my bachelor’s degree in November 2007, and I earned my MBA in June 2009!
